Donkey Milk and its derivatives: visit to Farm “Petrolo”

The visit will take us to the Farm “Petrolo”, located on the banks of the Irmino River (between Scicli and Ragusa) and immersed in a natural environment rich in flora and fauna.

The purpose of the company is to enhance the “asino ragusano”, a native breed of the municipalities of Scicli, Ragusa and Santa Croce Camerina which currently is in danger of extinction. Today the company is engaged in production of donkey milk, fine and noble food, known since ancient times for its maximum effectiveness in treating allergies and for the skin hydration. During your visit you can watch the milking and take a ride on a donkey.

Lunch is provided at the Farm.
