Montalbano Places: from Puntasecca to Scicli the fiction locations.

With the Montalbano classic tour you will discover the South of Sicily first and then the wonderful sites of the most famous Commissioner of Italy.

The locations of Montalbano have become a cult for all fans of fiction. Every year many tourists come to see the locations from all over the world. Our tour begins from Punta Secca – a sunny seaside town on the Costa Iblea coast. Here, in a small square next to the beach, you will find the Commissioner`s home. The fishing village is also characterized by the 34 metre high lighthouse, by a small church and by the Tower of Scalambri, built in the 16^th century.

We will then visit Scicli, a little gem of Baroque and now a UNESCO Heritage site which has also become a movie set in the series. The Town Hall has become the Vigata Police Station, while the Palazzo Iacono has been turned into the police headquarters of Montelusa. A wonder through the towns streets amongst its historic buildings is the best way to appreciate this Baroque town.

Before retuning we visit Sampieri often referred to in Camilleri’s fiction.
